New Orleans Wedding Transportation Timeline: From Booking to the Getaway Car

Wedding transportation is easy to leave until the final weeks and hard to fix once you have, especially in New Orleans where French Quarter street closures, second-line routes and the citywide event calendar can all affect a wedding-day route. This timeline runs from the first inquiry through the getaway car.

9–12 Months Out: Reserve the Date

As soon as the venue and date are set, request a quote for wedding transportation. You do not need a finished itinerary yet — the goal is to reserve the vehicles you expect to need before that Saturday's calendar fills. Sprinter vans, limousines and multi-vehicle wedding bookings should be reserved as far ahead as possible.

3–6 Months Out: Build the Itinerary

If you are shuttling guests from a hotel block in the CBD or French Quarter to the venue, confirm headcounts and shuttle timing based on RSVPs at this point. A shuttle typically runs a loop between the hotel and venue rather than a single point-to-point trip.

1–2 Weeks Out: Finalize the Day-Of Details

Confirm exact pickup addresses, timing buffers, and the day-of coordinator's phone number as the on-site contact. Confirm the getaway car at this point too — whether it is the same vehicle that brought the couple in, or a dedicated departure vehicle.

Changes and Cancellations

Wedding and multi-vehicle special-event bookings can be cancelled at no charge up to 12 hours before the scheduled pickup time. If your timeline shifts closer to the date, call and dispatch will confirm whether it changes the rate before re-confirming.
